The Grundy/Kendall offices are located at 1320 Union St. in Morris and in the Old Historic Courthouse at 109 W. Ridge Street in Yorkville.  

Our outstanding licensure staff are willing to help you with all the necessary paperwork to keep your certification up to date.

 GED UPDATE

GED Price Increase

Beginning July 1, 2023, the cost of the GED® exam will increase. Currently the cost to take the in-person test is $120 for the full battery of test, which is $30 per module including a $10.00 test center fee and includes two free retakes. The new cost will be $144.00 for the full battery of test, which is $36 per module including a $10.00 test center fee and includes one free retake. Corrections testing is $144.00 for the full battery of testing with one retake at no cost. The online proctored testing will be $144.00 for the full battery of testing. This is an overall increase of $24.00 for the battery.

Free Summer GED

From July 1 – September 30, ICCB is adjusting the ILSAVE20 promo code so that GED test takers can test for free. The new promo code will be ILSAVE. It will cover the cost of the test and the test center fee. It will also cover the cost for online test takers. For students who use the one free retake, they will use the promo code ILRETAKE to cover the cost of the test center fee.

ICCB will launch a media campaign July 1 to announce the free summer GED program and point people to a www.freegedil.org website that will point them to ICCB’s Adult Education student page so that they can get connected to an Adult Education program, link to GED for testing, and connect them to other relevant information.

Revision to ILSAVE20 Promo Code

The ILSAVE20 promo code will be retired on June 30. For the period July 1 through September 30, the ILSAVE and ILRETAKE promo codes will be used per the free summer GED program described above. Beginning October 1, the ILSAVE promo code alone will be used to cover the new $26 per module cost of testing. Students will pay the $10 test center fee as they have been. The promo code will function as ILSAVE20 did.
